A Collaborative Dental Sleep Medicine Partner for Your Patients
When a patient is diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea or cannot tolerate CPAP therapy, a custom oral appliance may be an appropriate treatment option. Vital Dental Wellness works with referring providers to help patients receive oral appliance therapy in a professional, patient-centered dental setting.
Current estimates indicate that more than 54 million U.S adults may have obstructive sleep apnea, and up to 80 % of moderate to severe cases remain undiagnosed or undertreated. By providing oral appliance therapy, Dr. Moreno helps address this care gap as part of a collaborative team focused on improving patients’ health and quality of life.
Why Refer to Vital Dental Wellness?
AADSM Qualified Dentist
Dr. Patricia Moreno is an AADSM-qualified dentist listed in the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine directory, reflecting her focus on dental sleep medicine beyond general dental care. She is also currently pursuing a fellowship and board certification in dental sleep medicine.
Titration Device Support
We provide titration devices - like sleep apnea appliances - designed to help gradually support better airway stability during sleep. These custom oral appliances are created to reposition the jaw to reduce airway obstruction, improve nighttime breathing, and support more restful sleep.
Experienced in Bite Change Management
Dr. Moreno brings a practical understanding of how sleep appliances can affect a patient’s long-term dental health. We monitor for these changes and help manage complications early, supporting better comfort, function, and treatment compliance.
Patient-Centered Referral Experience
Patients referred to Vital Dental Wellness receive clear education, careful evaluation, and ongoing guidance throughout the oral appliance process. We help patients understand their appliance, use it consistently, and feel supported during treatment.
I have implemented a standardized sleep‑apnea screening protocol for every patient who walks through my door, reflecting my commitment to early identification and appropriate referral. I am excited to continue expanding my network within the medical community to improve patient outcomes.”
